 Company Overview

 Introduction

We have been operating in the background of this industry Since early 91… Starting in a small family run firm formally Known as…‘Brian Page Controls’, which at that time was one of the leading company which was know for its reliability and precision of it’s equipment mainly, Infra Red Remote Controls systems which was marketed as… ‘The world’s most Intelligent Steering Ball’, which was and still is the template for all  current systems of that type, along with a modified version which was used for Ramp & Lifts systems.Together with Hand controls, B/A and an automatic clutch system constituted the range of the companies products.

As senior consultant engineer my duties includes amongst others, From conception to market of all new product designs and to ensure continued reliability, compatibility and consistency of all electronics products. To make compatible and configure new Vehicles wiring components and make available the relevant wiring sheet & or interface to various field agents and fitters on a global scale.

Due to an adjacent building fire which affected our workshop to the extent that it was no longer viable, the company decided to cease electronic production in early 2002.

I have since continued to provide support in a limited capacity for BPC existing equipment out in the field and in the background development and testing of new equipment continues.

Lucien & Brown Ltd  Is now introducing the MiniSelect Remote Control System This is an all digital infra red system and further more it is reverse compatible in both layout and feel with a similar system which BPC produced up to 2002. The Tac feel and the vertical switches being the most common switches used, has been maintained and the transmitter night illumination is simply a joy to use. The transmitter’s battery compartment has an auto insert system which means no flying leads so loose battery connections has effectively been eliminated.

The receiver has been kept small and compact which will facilitate easy installation to vehicles where fitting space is at a premium. All 9 outputs have on board fuses which if required can be substituted to house Multiplex components thereby eliminating the need for link & loop wires.

There is one additional output [ optional  RLAX ] which can be configured to operate with any of the higher functions again, in order to minimize the need for link, loop and external relays.

Two main connectors are used for normal loom functions, and 1 additional 2 line connector for [ optional  RLAX ]

One easy fit RJ type phone plug for signalling and control of the receiver.

All individual outputs are capable of driving a 12Amps load or 170 watts resistive load @ 20 deg C. indefinitely.
